New Wally Album - Montpellier - Available Now

After 36 years Wally have returned to the studio to produce their new album Montpellier. The album consists of songs written in the early seventies and new material written in the studio. We have tried to retain the essence of the Wally sound, keeping Pete and Paul in mind. Hope you will enjoy! Your comments will be much appreciated.

The album is available now in CD Digipak form - order your copy now from our online store

That Was Then DVD
23rd October 2009

At last, the DVD of the Wally reunion tribute concert at Harrogate Royal Hall is available to purchase from our online store for £12 including free postage. We're sorry for the delay, we had a few technical problems linking the sound to the vision as we had camera failure on the night. Not perfect... but here it is!

A cracking comeback from famous band
17th September 2009

There was a superb article in last weeks Harrogate advertiser about Wally. The music editor Graham Chalmers came down and listened to the band recording and they played him a few of the new tracks. Check it out on the Press page.

Paul Middleton with guests from Wally
25th June 2009

Here is an article from the Harrogate Herald printed on 1st July 2009:

Wednesday night's in the Blues Bar is known around Harrogate town as The Paul Middleton Band night and that is just how this last Wednesday started out. Suddenly heads started to turn with knowing looks and whispers as one by one Wally descended on the bar after a hard day laying down new tracks for their third album.

Paul was wearing his 1988 Wally reunion T shirt which should have been a clue as to what was to come. First up on stage was Roger Narraway who started playing bass before taking is more usual role on drums. Next up Pete Sage, sporting a new Wally reunion T Shirt, all the way from Germany, stepped up and wowed the audience with his superb fiddle playing. The band flew through some of Paul's more well known tracks and had the crowd dancing the night away.

The only members of Wally not on stage with Paul Middleton were Nick Glennie-Smith, keyboards, who was still in LA working on a new film soundtrack and Lead Singer from Wally Roy Webber who was in the crowd enjoying the show.

Wally have been tucked away in a local recording studio ever since the highly successful reunion concert in April and are well on the way to having it completed for release towards the end of this year. Meanwhile the DVD of the April concert is almost complete and is on schedule to be out late July.
